Investment in a full-service ambient division means Innovate Logistics now offers 24/7 supply chain solutions across all temperature ranges.  The raft of ambient-enabled depots and vehicles will open up additional territories, taking the provider beyond its traditional focus on foodstuffs.

Initially, the leader in temperature controlled logistics will roll out its new offering across five existing depots: Adwick, Seaham, Scunthorpe, Aston and Bardon.  All sites use the latest supply chain technologies, and the latter is a fully automated, 750,000 sq ft facility.

As well as building more capacity into existing logistics centres, further centres are planned for the future.  A complete 3PL service incorporating co-packing, case picking and storage is available and a core fleet of 50 new ambient vehicles - both curtain - siders and box-vans - will ensure a good distribution reach.

Mike Lane, has been appointed Managing Director of the ambient division which is already working with blue chip brands as Tesco and Nestle.

Innovate has depots in Alcester, Birmingham, Bristol, Chesterfield, Corby, Coupar Angus, Crawley, Dudley, Eye, Heywood, Larkhall, Leeds, Newark, Scunthorpe, Worksop, Nottingham which is the home of the corporate headquarters, and at the Ardo premises in Ashford.
